Sad News! Yambio-based gospel singer, Emma Baime has died

The Western Equatoria State popular gospel musician Emma Baime has reportedly passed on, in Yambio.

Singer Baime reportedly died early on Friday in a plane shortly after landing at the Yambio airstrip.

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the ultimate death of our talented musician, Emma Baime, who passed away in Yambio today, February 2nd, 2024. The Azande Kingdom and South Sudan have lost one of the best gospel singers,” a statement posted on the Azande Kingdom page stated.

It was unclear what might have happened to him. But a close Yambio source stated that the musician had become ill on his way from Juba.

Baime is the young brother of Western Equatoria State deputy governor Dr. Kenneth Ganniko.
