Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni and Ethiopian Prime Minister – Abiy Ahmed are among the top dignitaries from the region who are expected to grace the first batch of graduates of Necessary Unified Forces.

South Sudan will graduate the force on August 30, as the country works towards the implantation of the revitalised agreement.
The two were invited by President Salva Kiir to witness the graduation of more than 50,000 forces.

Presidential Affairs Minister Barnaba Marial Benjamin personally conveyed Kiir’s message to Museveni, on August 24, during his visit to Kampala.

He reiterated that the President welcomes the invitation and is more than willing to travel to Juba and be part of the celebration.

“His excellency president Museveni received the message with great appreciation and indicated he will be communicating with his excellency [President Salva] on possibilities of his attendance,” he added.
