Once locked out by Kampala University, South Sudanese students now graduate

More than 300 South Sudanese students from the former Kampala University Juba branch who were denied graduation in 2022 are finally graduating.

The students are being graduated by Team University, Kampala campus affiliated with the Destiny University College in Juba.

The graduation ceremony is currently happening at Pope Paul Memorial hotel garden, Kampala.

“It is unbelievable, but one has to be just after putting on that graduation gown and be among thousands of fellow students.”

“Of course, one has to be emotional about it; because of the stress we went through, but thank God, it finally happened,” one of the students,” James Kuol, told The City Review.

One of the things he mentioned was that he was happy after a long travel and hard effort.
