Kiir meets Hamdok in UAE to discuss Sudan’s elusive peace
President Salva Kiir Mayardit and Sudan’s former Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdok, met to discuss Sudan’s peace and stability.
According to the Presidential Press Unit, Kiir and Hamdok discussed potential solutions to the Sudan problem.
“The discussion between the two was focused on the possibility of finding a peaceful solution to Sudan’s current situation,” stated Joseph Bangasi Bakosoro, Minister of Presidential Affairs.
President Kiir and former Sudanese leader met on Friday in United Arabs Emirates (UAE).
Hamdok has been out of Sudan since his resignation in 2022, following the Sudan coup, which sparked huge riots in Khartoum.
