Juba Electricity Distribution Company (JEDCO) has warned its consumers of power shutdown on Monday, July 19. The power distributor said in a statement issued on Saturday morning that the disruption will be as a consequence of routine maintenance.

The statement read: ‘‘JEDCO takes this opportunity to inform its esteemed customers that on Monday, July 19, 2021, there will be the annual preventive maintenance on Juba Substation and Distribution Network. Therefore there will be total power interruption due to this exercise.’’

‘‘JEDCO apologies in advance for the temporary inconvenience,’’ it further added.

The power outage will run for 12 hours; 6 am to 6pm, JEDCO noted.
