Hospital evacuated after an elderly man arrived with explosive lodged in his rectum

Workers at a French hospital had to be evacuated after an elderly man with an artillery shell lodged in his rectum.
The man had a World War I artillery shell partially inside him when he arrived at Hospital Sainte Musse in Toulon, southern France, without any appointment.
Emergency patients were diverted as stunned medics dealt with the delicate situation.
The explosive shell was about eight inches long and two inches wide, French publication Var-Matin reported.
Doctors were able to safely remove the shell and the patient was reportedly doing fine.
