El Merriekh Bentiu signs John Kundo as their new head coach

El Merriekh Bentiu FC, also known as Bentiu’s moneybags, has hired ex-Atlabara, Gudule, Munuki, and Simba FC manager Johnny Kundo as their new head coach.
The 42-year-old former Gudele tactician signed a one-year contract extension with El Merriekh Bentiu.

Kundo penned together with his long-term assistant manager, Richard Justin.
“I am delighted to join El Merriekh Bentiu, a club that is doing everything possible to shine and establish itself at the highest level.”
“I promised the management and the fans that I would do everything we could as a team to put El Merriekh Bentiu among the great teams in the country as well as the region,” new head coach Johnny Kundo said after signing his contract.
The development comes barely a week after their ex-head Coach Ramzi Sebit abruptly cancelled the club’s trip to Unity State for the South Sudan competition.
El Merriekh announced the signing of former Bright Star head coach Sebit in July this year, while it remained unclear why he left the club.
According to a club statement issued in July, Sebit, 50, signed a two-year contract with the Bentiu squad with the option of an extension.

The two new head coach and assistant are expected to travel to Bentiu to take over their roles at the club.
