Drug Trafficking: South Sudanese arrested in India
The South Sudanese was arrested for allegedly selling a prohibited drug, to a lady back in June.

​A South Sudanese is currently being held in an Indian jail on drug- trafficking-related charges.

Luyel Daniel Justin Boulo alias Danny was arrested in Mangaluru, a port city of the Indian state of Karnataka, Wednesday.​​

He is suspected to be among the group of four people that police were trailing for allegedly selling Methylenedioxy-Methamphetamine, on June 15.

MDMA is a synthetic and teratogenic (toxic) drug that alters mood and perception. It is fatal to the fetus.

Police also arrested a woman who was found in possession of 125 grams of MDMA, Outlookinndia.com reported.

The investigation later revealed that the drug was sold to her by Boulo, a 25-year-old South Sudanese, contrary to sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

The case is now being handled by the Cyber, Economic, and Narcotics Crime (CEN) branch.

Boulo’s current address is given as Gunjur Palya, Varthur Hobali, Bengaluru, police said.

He was produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody, they added.
